The experts We were privileged to have such articulate experts from museums throughout the area to answer students' questions about the heroes. A hearty thank you to them all from all involved with the project! We hope the interviews will encourage teachers to contact similar experts to provide interesting and motivating content for their classes. Faith Carpenter-Nelson Faith Carpenter enjoys the challenge of making Nelson accessible to the public from the Norfolk Nelson museum, a superb collection of Nelson memorabilia and student friendly exhibits. The museum puts on events associated with the 18th/19th century navy and laments only that Nelson is not really covered in the National Curriculum. She hopes that the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar will revive interest in Norfolk's most famous hero. Visit the website John Goldsmith-Cromwell John Goldsmith has a passion for Cromwell and defended him in 2002 at the BBC Great Britons ceremony. He also maintains a Cromwell website. He treads carefully in giving his opinions, aware that Cromwell is someone who still raises a great many hackles around the world. Visit the website Philip Wise-Boudica Philip Wise's detailed and clear explanation of the reasons for the Iceni uprising and use of visuals as well as the Castle Museum itself provides a very informative background to Boudica. Visit the website Andrew Field doesn't have a museum but he does have perhaps the richest school history website:- Andrew Field- Hereward Andrew Field studied the problem of Hereward and university and was delighted to be able to answer the inquisitive questions posed by the students of Soham Village College.
